Oath of an Ayurvedic practitioner

I commit myself to something that is greater than I am, that I may be a bridge for healing.

I commit myself to the origin and roots of Ayurveda, and will practice with as much knowledge, continuity and respect for those origins as possible.

That I will continue to apply myself to my own work, to live in growing harmony with Nature so that a higher use can move through me without obstruction.

I commit myself to the people that I work with; that I may serve them in the highest integrity; that I may be for them a guide and a liaison on their path, while remembering that I am not the healer, but the helper.

I commit myself to my — Self; that I will promise to grow, learn, evolve and listen; that I may come closer and closer to living what I teach, while holding a space of compassion for my own humanity.

I commit myself to the knowledge of Ayurveda; that I may continue to learn through my teachers, in all of their varying and unexpected forms, through my texts, my experiences, and through my relationship to what I deem the most sacred.

Om Sarve Bhavatu Sukhinah - May all beings be happy

Sarve Santu Niramayaah- May all beings be free of disability

Sarvah Bhadrani Pasyantu- May we see only the good in others

Ma Kashid-dhuha-bhag-bhavet- May none suffer sorrow
